Economical breakaway system FHWA & AASHTD approved. Posts to 4 lbs. Any size SP-80 U-channel post. 2 special bolts & spacers join base post to top post. The Lap-Splice sign post breakaway system for U-Channel posts is well suited for areas that experience repeated impact of the sign structures. Lap-Splice is a ground level spliced system. A base post is easily driven from ground level. After the sign panel is attached to the top post, it is then connected to the base post. Installation is quick and easy.
